How to: Enter numbers with automatic, fixed decimal places.
Solution:
Select 'Options...' from the 'Tools' menu and click the 'Edit' tab. Select the 'Fixed Decimal' check box and type the number of decimal places required. Then, type numbers in the worksheet.
1) Set the number format:
a) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options...'. (The Options dialog box appears.)
b) Click the 'Edit' tab.
c) Select the 'Fixed Decimal' check box.
d) Type the number of decimal places required in the 'Places' box.
Setting a fixed number format
e) Click 'OK'.
2) Type numbers in the worksheet.
